Hayward Touring organises exhibitions in collaboration with gallery-based and independent curators, creative writers and artists. We are interested in exploring new models of touring exhibitions and new means to collaborate. In recognition of the limited resources available to many publicly funded galleries, we endeavour to keep our hire fees and other costs at an affordable level. Major exhibitions are toured in our own vans and our experienced driver-technicians are usually able to help with installation. Our aim is to produce imaginative, high-quality exhibitions that complement and support the programmes of colleagues in galleries and other venues of every size in every part of Britain.
The Hayward also tours exhibitions from the Arts Council Collection. Based at Southbank Centre in London since 1986, the Collection now includes close to 8000 original works of art and boasts important examples of work by leading British artists of the past 60 years. Through its many and various collaborations with museums, galleries and other public institutions up and down the country, the ACC has a substantial and continuous presence across the UK.
